Praying God’s Words

 
 

To bring me closer to God, I like to pray the following promises in the Bible.


“I am sure that God who began the good work within you will continue it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6.


My prayer might be something like, “Father, You have begun a good work within me, please continue it until the day of Jesus Christ.“


Other verses that are good to pray are:

 

The Power of Scripture

I have found praying God’s words from the Bible to very powerful.

“For God is at work within you helping you want to obey Him.” Philippians 2:13.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.

“My God will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory.” Philippians 4:19.

“The Lord is faithful, He will guard you from satanic attacks of every kind.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3.

I have found praying God’s words from the Bible to very powerful.

“With God, all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26.


“All things work together for good to them that love God.”

Romans 8:28.


“When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19.


“There hath no temptation common to man but God is faithful, He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you are able but will with the temptation also make a way of escape that you may be able to bear it.”

I Corinthians 10:13.


“The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.”

James 5:16.


“And He is able to keep you from falling.” Jude 1:25.
