Praying God’s Words

“The Word of God is quicker, and more powerful, than any two edged sword...” Hebrews 4:12.

To bring me closer to God and to help  overcome sin, I like to pray God’s very own words found in the Bible.

For this verse,

The Power of Scripture

I have found praying God’s words from the Bible to be very powerful. They have changed my life!

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.

But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed His love for us.          Romans 8:37

“My God will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory.” Philippians 4:19.

“The earnest prayer of a righteous man has great power and wonderful results.”

James 5:16.

I have found praying God’s words from the Bible to be very powerful. They have changed my life! They have helped me overcome sin. They have even changed my desires. They have helped me become much more “dead to the world.”

I have a lot of these verses on 3x5 cards that I use to pray with. I know the devil doesn’t want me to use these prayer cards. One time I slipped and fell in the mud and got them dirty. Shortly after that I had another accident and ruined my prayer cards. But I made new ones!

One time I was working on this webpage, the breaker blew and my computer shut off and I lost a lot of work. But the devil did not prevail. I re-wrote it. Not only does the devil not want me to pray God’s Words but he doesn’t want you to either.

I encourage you to create some prayer cards and try this! You could just try a few at first. You don’t have to start out with all these verses. To start with, pick out the verses that are the most meaningful to you. Then you can add more verses later. I think you will be amazed at the results!

TIP

Your internet browser may allow you to e-mail this page to yourself. Then you can print it out, cut out the prayers and glue them on 3x5 cards. I like to laminate them so they will last longer. An easy way to laminate them is to cover both sides with clear packaging tape.
