God’s Words Change Us
God’s Words Change Us
I have come to realize that just as I need to brush my teeth daily and eat my vegetables daily to be healthy and strong I also need to pray some key scriptures daily to clean and change my character. “I am the Bread of Life! ...anyone who eats this Bread shall live forever.” John 6:51. “Listen and I'll tell you where to get good food that fattens up the soul! Come to me with your ears wide open.” Isaiah 55:2,3.
I like to pray these prayers based on words in the Bible:
Father in Heaven, please “Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10.
Please “Take the stony heart out of my flesh and give me a soft heart.”
Ezekiel 11:19.
And please “Put within me the same mind that was in Christ Jesus who made Himself of no reputation but took upon Himself the form of a servant.”
Philippians 2:7.
Please put within me a “hunger and thirst for righteousness.” Matthew 5:6.
And please help me not to “be conformed to this world but please transform me by the renewing of my mind into what is your good, and acceptable and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2.
I like to pray, please, “put inside me your Holy Spirit so that my face will brightly reflect Your glory and as the Spirit of the Lord works within me, I ask to become more and more like You and Jesus.”
2 Corinthians 3:18.
Please give me a lot of love for all people as described in I Corinthians 13.
And please bring me joy – the joy of the Lord. Galatians 5:22.
Please help me to, “banish from my mind the very thought of doing wrong.”
Isaiah 55:7.
Please, “...give me new and right desires and put a new spirit within me.”
Ezekiel 36:26.
Please “put your teachings in my mind and write them on my heart.”
Hebrews 8:10.
Please give me wisdom as You have promised in James 1:5
Please, “put a desire into my heart to worship You.” Jeremiah 32:40.
Please, “work in me and give me the desire and the ability to do what pleases You.” Philippians 2:13
